Where Is Your Attention? Staying Focused in Animal-Assisted Work

October 15, 3 p.m. ET/12 p.m. PT

Animal-assisted work can pull you in many directions. You have to juggle the well-being of your animal partner and the person in front of you, your own stateand whatever else the environment is asking of you. In this session, we’ll look at what you actually pay attention to in those moments, and what to do to stay grounded when so much is happening at the same time. Whether you’ve been doing this work for years or you’re still finding your footing, you’ll leave with a few practical ways to observe yourself and work with your own attention.
